"Quantities of ‘Indian’ jewelry…bracelets, rings, hair clasps; are worn with ‘Slick-Up' clothes by every high school Miss in Tuscon who isn’t “absolutely poverty stricken.” Large Hair clasps of silver and turquoise cost $10, a “Gow Job" (flashy girl) wears at least two. A girl with less than two bracelets feels like “a Homely” or a “Shot Cookie”.”
